About Us

A&A Plastics Ltd is a small family run business based in South Wales and have been specialising in plastics for almost twenty-five years.

After six years working for a national plastics distributor, Alan setup the company to offer his customers a more flexible approach to buying plastics by offering a cut to size service on the full range of plastic sheet and rods, where they would only pay for the size of the material they required rather than having to buy the whole standard sheet.

As demand grew, CNC milling and CNC routing machines capable of producing finished machined parts to customer drawings or sketches were purchased. Machined components have been made and supplied to a wide range of industries including Automotive, Food and Manufacturing.

Although A&A Plastics have supplied polyethylene to meat and fish processors over the years and are aware of the excellent properties of 500 grade PE, it was only when they looked at the smaller boards available to the catering trade, which consisted mainly of low quality imported boards from Taiwan, that the Plastic Chopping Boards website was born.

“Just wanted to say thank you for my Chopping boards, they are far better than you can buy in the shops, more substantial and as well as being functional look good in the kitchen. I also found the website and ordering procedure very user friendly and wouldn't hesitate to recommend your company to my friends”.

Today, the Aplas range of plastic chopping boards are made on the latest CNC router/milling machines in a wide range of standard sizes as well as custom, made to measure boards.

When you contact the company, the chances are you will speak to Alan or Lesley who will be more than happy to deal with your requirements, and when you get your boards they will have been made by Alan’s son Matthew and his small team who are passionate about what they do.

“We just wanted to say what incredible service we had from you. Although it was a small purchase, it was one of the best services we have experienced. My husband, the cook, is very, very pleased with them”
