How resistant are plastic chopping boards to stains and odours in a busy restaurant?

Our plastic chopping boards are made using APLAS plastic, which makes them extra resistant to stains and odours. If you’re using strong ingredients, simply pop them in the dishwasher to remove the mess or smell.

How do you prevent plastic chopping boards from slipping on countertops?

We recommend investing in a thick chopping board that is unlikely to slip. However, you can also use a anti-slip mat or towel.

What are the regulations for using restaurant chopping boards?

While it is not a regulation, we highly recommend using coloured chopping boards to reduce the risk of cross-containment.

How many should I purchase?

We recommend purchasing at least one coloured chopping board and one spare backup board per food group, but this all depends on the size of your facility 

What size and thickness are recommended for restaurant chopping boards?

We recommend ordering a size between 18 x 24 inches (45 x 60 cm) and 24 x 36 inches (60 x 90 cm). In addition, a thickness between 1 inch (2.5 cm) and 1.5 to 2 inches (3.8 to 5 cm) for restaurant chopping boards.
