Colour coded to prevent cross contamination, the white chopping board is used for the preparation of dairy and bakery products in the kitchens of Hotels, restaurants and cafes.

Made in Britain Aplas plastic chopping boards are manufactured in our workshop from industrial grade polyethylene. They are flat, rigid, hardwearing and of course foodsafe and will far outlast similar looking LDPE boards.

Made from the same grade of material used by meat and poultry processors they will withstand serious chopping on a daily basis. And unlike the imports, they will not warp in the dishwasher.

Add the option of a juice groove to your board from as little as £1, simply tick the box when placing your order.

  • What is A White Chopping Board Used For?

Generally speaking, they are used in domestic and commercial kitchens for the preparation of dairy products, baked goods, and cheese. Designating a particularly coloured chopping board to these food types can reduce the likelihood of the accidental causation of allergic reactions through cross-contamination of products.

  • Why do we Use Different Coloured Chopping Boards?

We use different coloured chopping boards to reduce the likelihood of cross-contamination between different food groups. Cross-contamination can lead to food poisoning and allergic reactions, which could result in sickness and severe allergic reactions in those who consume your food. We recommend following the standard colour-coding system for chopping boards to help you better remember which chopping board should be used for which food group.

  • How do You Properly Clean White Chopping Boards?

We recommend using boiling water to help loosen and wash away food residue that can cause mould. Our chopping boards are designed to be dishwasher safe and resist warping even when exposed to high temperatures for prolonged periods. So you can rest assured that your chopping boards will always be squeaky clean.

  • Can you get An Allergic Reaction From A White Chopping Board?

Yes. If your white chopping boards are used for more than just bakery and dairy products, residue from various allergens can be transmitted between foods and cause an allergic reaction. This eventuality can be avoided by using different coloured chopping boards and designating different food groups to a selection of boards.
